It looks like another slow night over New Jersey, but some minor movement was detected.
More interesting though, are the regional and national radars.
In the regional loop you can see good movements off the Great Lakes and over New York State.
The national loop shows the cold front to our west extending north and south over the country. Behind the front, along the central flyway, conditions for migration were excellent last night. The result is a massive southbound movement of birds through that region.
The regional and national loops are from 8pm – 11pm EST, and the local loop is from sunset last night to sunrise this morning. Let’s hope this cold front makes it over our area next week so we can experience a similar event on the eastern flyway!
