As the radar shows, the front moved over our area during the wee hours of the morning.
After the frontal passage there is a sudden burst in the radar which is mostly anomalous propagation (told by the velocity plot not shown here), but at about 3am we start to see some birds enter the scene. By 5am there are some good numbers of birds over New Jersey, indicating that some of the local hotspots should have decent birding this morning. The big push will likely be tonight, when the birds to our NE get a chance to head south.
