Last night we experienced a low pressure system moving across the NE. Unfortunately because of its orientation, what followed were winds from the S/SW. Still, just after passing some birds are seen making a last ditch effort to head south in the face of opposing winds. The density of birds on the move was quite minimal, but confirmed with the velocity data from last night.
Here’s the radar:
Following the clearing of precipitation just after midnight, the small peppering of blue around the radar center are some birds heading to the southeast.
