Some interesting weather affecting our area tonight and into the weekend. Currently a surface boundary with associated precipitation over the Delmarva peninsula is blocking any major influx of new migrants from the south. Over our area, clear sky and light southwest winds are paving the way for a fine exodus of birds from the Garden State (Okay, now you can all “boo and hiss” in unison). Over the next few nights we expect light winds with a southerly component, but coupled with precipitation, so migration levels will likely suffer. I’ll post the radar first thing in the morning, and update weather as it unfolds.
