Birds are on the move- but they’re moving along the central and southern eastern flyways. From the Great Lakes to Mississippi and over to Florida, birds are high-tailing it south, but along the northeast coast they’re waiting until optimal conditions return to the area. The radar loop shows only a few images representing 4 hours after sunset.
Migration in the next few days will likely exceed that of tonight, since as Ophelia passes our area, winds are expected to switch from the southeast to the northeast.
