If you haven’t read last night’s post, please do so before reading this one. Last night we saw a really cool event unfold over the radar, the tail end of which is evident in the two radar images below. These images are from sunset last night through 6:30am this morning. An influx of birds from the south can be seen entering the radar around 11:00pm, with the bulk of them over New Jersey by 4:00am, and all of them settling down over the Garden State by sunrise. Not much left the state last night, so there’s a definite increase in bird density from south to central Jersey. Are they all White-throats? or Juncos? Or is Chris Vogel going to find an early Northern Parula in his morning walk around the point?…LET’S GO FIND OUT!! 🙂
One response to “Incoming!”
New bird was Field Sparrow, and more Woodcocks tonight, plus several Phoebes showed up this morning.
