Unfortunately the radar feed crapped out last night, so I’ve cribbed the following images from the ncar site. They’re not animated, but they do show a snapshot of migration around midnight last night. It looks like another nice movement of birds over the Garden State. This push seemed a bit more central (North –> South) than yesterday’s, so the ridge lines (Chimney Rock, Garret Mountain?) may produce some good diversity today. As is usually the case for Fall, Cape May should see another good day today.
Raptors area also getting into full swing, so today would be a good one to hit the hawkwatch near you.
Good Birding
