Wow. I just got back from the DVOC talk and when I stepped out of the car in my driveway I noticed that the wind was very still and the sky totally clear. I couldn’t help but think that maybe birds were migrating even though the forecast was for northerly winds. When I booted up my computer, there it was, an email from Sam Galick with the following message:
“About time migration moved a bit around here!”
I checked the local radar, and sure enough, there’s some serious migration going on overhead. Here’s a Google Earth image of New Jersey and the surrounding region. Click on it to see the full-size version.
I’ll post the full radar first thing in the morning, but as of right now, I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that Garret Mountain is the place to be tomorrow.
