Sorry for the late post… I had some issues with my alarm clock this morning. Anyway, here’s the radar from 7:00pm last night through 5:00am this morning.

Migration was HEAVY last night; with northwesterly winds blowing over northern NJ and southern NY early last night, switching to northeasterly across the region by early morning. The easterly flow should push most birds inland today, but given the westerly flow early yesterday evening, the coast should see a few more birds than would be expected after a night of easterly winds. The safest bet, though, will be inland migrant traps. As always, I look forward to your reports from the field!

I hit two different areas than yesterday. The species composition was somewhat different, so I am glad David posted heavy migration! New birds in. Gloucester County – Floodgates Rd. and a pond area.
