Despite the foul weather over the Mid-Atlantic, the rest of the Northeast was considerably better in terms of migration conditions. As a result, there was a solid flight into and out of the Northeast last night. Here’s the radar from 6:00pm last night through 6:00am this morning. Sorry for the late post… the semester is really heating up with work. :/

Moderate to heavy migration was apparent over the Northeast last night, mostly on a NNE->SSW trajectory. Only a very few birds could be seen migrating south into the storms over the Delmarva, which suggests that any birds reaching the Mid-Atlantic region overnight would then stick around into today. That could mean some good birding conditions for today.
Inland locations should be favored, given the NE winds and the general trajectory of birds migrating across the radar last night.
Good Birding
