A cold front draped across the Mid-Atlantic pretty much kept migration activity to a minimum last night, with only a small pulse of birds heading south as the winds turned favorable early this morning. Looking at the regional composite, though, it should be apparent that more birds are on the way. As this front slips to our south today and tomorrow, conditions will be ripe for another two nights of migration into the region. Tonight the NW winds will favor coastal locations, while NE winds will turn things more inland on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. In either case, it’s good news for PA, NJ, NY and DE birders!
Good Birding
