    Some migration into New Jersey last night, mostly from West –> East over the Delaware River. Best spots likely Garret Mountain, Sandy Hook and points north. Unfortunately I can’t get the radar up until this afternoon- so please use the real-time radar site to get your data. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Tonight’s forecast is calling for southerly winds over Virginia and westerly winds over New Jersey, so we could see a push of birds both tonight and tomorrow night.   • Migration outlook for Saturday and Sunday

    This weekend the forecast is calling for strong winds out of the Northwest and West at all altitudes. Therefore, I don’t expect anything to be moving tonight (Saturday) or tomorrow night (Sunday) unless something changes. I’ll update the forecast if anything changes.   • Migration forecast

    No birds migrating tonight over most of the country, the exception being some minor movements along the south Texas gulf coast. We’ll have to wait until the winds cooperate before migration picks up again, which will most likely be Sunday night.

  • Nothing moving tonight

    Another night of unfavorable conditions. No migration evident on the radar tonight anywhere, except for some birds leaving Cuba for Florida. Otherwise migration is shut down across the country. You can check out the Key West radar in my post tomorrow morning on Badbirdz2.
