Small push to the coast
Migration was light last night, but also highly directional from west to east suggesting a concentration along the coast this morning. Higher densities in southern NJ further suggest that Cape May (rather than Sandy Hook) will hold more birds this morning. Very little migration
Southerly flow up high coupled with some precipitation and calm winds down low seem to have precluded much migration last night. Birding conditions today should be consistent with yesterday. Good Birding David
