  • Birds leaving, but storms blocking any potential arrivals

    So far the radar looks bleak, with storms over the Carolinas and Virginia keeping migration down. Birds are moving over New Jersey, though, with wind directions ranging from south to west.

  • Viva Migration!

    Whoa! Last night was a biggie. Here’s the radar from sunset last night through sunrise this morning. Looks like the biggest flight so far- and probably the most diverse.

  • Big BIIIIIGGGGGG Migration tonight

    The radar is ablaze all up and down the east coast- probably the largest movement yet this Spring. Go Birding. West wind makes Sandy Hook a good bet.

    Sounds counter-intuitive, doesn’t it…well, since so many birds made it here two nights ago, and there was no major migration last night, you can pretty much count on seeing some good birds today.
