  • Radar Down – Little Migration

I checked two sources for the Fort DIX NEXRAD and both were down last night. The images I downloaded were missing the radar data as well. I was able to find one source, which showed light migration over the Northeast, with heavier movements in the Southeastern and Central US.

  • More migration over Jerze

Last night light west winds blew over New Jersey, and light southwest winds over the Delmarva, setting up another night of somewhat favorable migration conditions. • Another night of migration- WOO HOO!

  • Big migration over the Garden State

Big migration last night with south winds up and down the entire country, from the Midwest all the way to the Atlantic. Here’s the radar from sunset last night through 8:00am this morning, with birds obviously moving unimpeded even into the daylight hours. Zugunruhe!
